VIRA D-SML 1000 is a low level limiter set for steam boilers. The system consists of the D-SMK 1000 Low Level Limiter Controller and the SMLD 1000 Low Level Limiter Probe. It provides reliable low water level monitoring and alarm protection, helping to support safe boiler operation when the water level reaches a critical low condition.
Low Water Level Protection
The D-SML 1000 monitors the boiler water level and generates an alarm signal when a low water level condition is detected. This enables the required protective action to be taken and helps prevent risks associated with insufficient boiler water level.
Fail-Safe and Self-Monitoring Architecture
The system uses a fail-safe, redundant and self-monitoring architecture. Its operating condition is continuously monitored, supporting fault detection for open circuit, short circuit, leakage and probe contamination conditions.
Clear Indication and Operator Functions
The D-SMK 1000 controller operates on 24VDC and features a 7-segment display for clear status and alarm indication. Dedicated test and reset functions support routine functional checks and controlled operator action following an alarm condition.
Flexible Installation
The controller can be installed in DIN rail or panel-mount configurations, supporting integration into different boiler control panel designs.
Suitable for Unattended Boiler Rooms
Its self-monitoring structure and fault detection functions make the D-SML 1000 suitable for steam boiler installations designed for up to 72 hours of unattended operation, subject to the requirements of the complete boiler system and local regulations.
