VIRA Duplex Pressure-Powered Condensate Pumps are designed to collect and return hot condensate from steam-using equipment where gravity drainage is not sufficient. The system is suitable for applications with return-line backpressure, vertical lift requirements or condensate recovery points located above the equipment outlet.

Pressure-Powered Condensate Recovery

The duplex system operates as a pressure-powered, or pressure motive, condensate pump. Available motive pressure is used to transfer hot condensate to the return line, making the system suitable for steam applications where conventional gravity drainage cannot provide reliable condensate removal.

Float-Free Electronic Level Control

VIRA uses electronic level control instead of a mechanical float mechanism. The level sensing system contains no mechanical float and no moving sensing parts, helping reduce mechanical wear and supporting dependable operation in demanding condensate recovery applications.

Duplex Configuration for Operating Continuity

The two-pump configuration supports increased condensate handling capacity and improved operating continuity. The control system manages pump operation according to condensate level, enabling the system to respond to changing condensate loads while supporting reliable return-line operation.

Compact Packaged System Design

The compact packaged design helps simplify installation in boiler rooms and industrial steam systems. System connections and components can be configured according to the condensate inlet, motive supply, vent, overflow, discharge line and return-line requirements of the project.

Efficient Use of Motive Steam

Efficient use of motive steam supports the transfer of high-temperature condensate with low energy demand. Recovering hot condensate helps reduce make-up water consumption, boiler fuel use and thermal energy losses in the steam plant.
