Detail
VIRA SD-AY 420A is a capacitive level transmitter designed to provide continuous level information through a 4–20 mA analogue output. It performs level measurement and signal transmission; it does not control pumps, valves or other equipment.
Capacitive Level Measurement
The transmitter measures level according to the capacitive measurement principle and provides a 4–20 mA signal representing the measured level value. This enables continuous level information to be transferred to the relevant control or monitoring system.
Local Minimum and Maximum Calibration
Minimum and maximum measurement points can be calibrated directly using the MIN, MAX and SET buttons. This allows the measurement range to be adjusted according to the required application level range.
Output and Supply Options
The SD-AY 420A provides an active 4–20 mA output as standard. A passive output option is also available. The transmitter operates with 24VDC supply, with a 220VAC supply option available.
Robust Construction and Project-Specific Length
The transmitter has an aluminium enclosure and a PN 40 pressure class. It can be manufactured in project-specific lengths according to the required installation dimensions.
