VIRA SMH 1000 is a self-monitoring high level limiter system for steam boilers. The system comprises the SMK 1000 High Level Limiter Controller and the SMHD 1000 High Level Limiter Probe. It provides reliable high water level monitoring and alarm protection to support safe boiler operation when the water level reaches a critical high condition.
High Water Level Protection
The SMH 1000 monitors the boiler water level and generates an alarm signal when a high water level condition is detected. This enables the required protective action to be taken and supports reliable monitoring of critical high water level conditions.
Self-Monitoring Fail-Safe Architecture
The system uses a fail-safe, redundant and self-monitoring architecture. Its operating condition is continuously monitored, supporting fault detection for open circuit, short circuit, leakage and probe contamination conditions.
SIL 2/3 Capable Design
The SMH 1000 features a SIL 2/3 capable architecture for applications requiring a self-monitoring high level limiter solution in steam boiler safety systems.
LED Indication, Test and Reset
LED indicators provide clear local status and alarm indication. Dedicated test and reset functions support routine functional checks and controlled operator action following an alarm condition.
220VAC Supply
The SMH 1000 operates with a 220VAC supply and is suitable for steam boiler installations designed for up to 72 hours of unattended operation, subject to the requirements of the complete boiler system and local regulations.
