Detail
VIRA Triplex Pressure-Powered Condensate Pump Systems are engineered for industrial steam plants with high condensate loads, multiple condensate sources or critical operating requirements. The three-pump architecture provides a scalable solution for returning hot condensate where gravity drainage is limited by return-line backpressure, vertical lift or changing process conditions.
High-Capacity Triplex Condensate Recovery
The triplex configuration combines three pressure-powered condensate pumps in one compact packaged system. This arrangement enables the condensate transfer capacity to be matched to higher and variable loads, making it suitable for large heat-exchanger groups, process equipment, central condensate collection points and boiler-room recovery systems.
Staged Pump Operation for Variable Loads
Electronic level control manages the pump sequence according to the condensate level and system demand. Pumps can be brought into operation in stages as the condensate load increases, supporting controlled transfer performance during normal operation and changing process conditions.
Float-Free Electronic Level Control
VIRA systems use electronic level control instead of mechanical float mechanisms. The level sensing system contains no mechanical float and no moving sensing parts, helping reduce mechanical wear and providing a dependable control approach for demanding hot-condensate applications.
Pressure-Powered Transfer Against Backpressure
Available motive pressure is used to transfer condensate to the return line when gravity drainage alone is not sufficient. This is particularly valuable where condensate must be lifted, where return-line pressure is high or where steam-using equipment can experience condensate backup under varying load conditions.
Continuity for Critical Steam Systems
The three-pump system supports operational continuity in applications where condensate recovery is essential to production, heating or boiler efficiency. A correctly configured triplex system helps maintain condensate transfer capacity during peak demand and supports stable operation across multiple steam-consuming processes.
Energy Recovery and Boiler Efficiency
Returning high-temperature condensate preserves treated water and valuable thermal energy. This helps reduce make-up water demand, boiler fuel consumption and thermal losses while supporting improved boiler feedwater quality and more efficient steam plant operation.
Project-Specific Packaged System Design
Triplex pump systems are selected according to total condensate load, load profile, available motive pressure, return-line backpressure, vertical lift, filling head, operating temperature and connection layout. VIRA supports project-specific package design, special manufacturing and documentation options for industrial condensate recovery projects.
